Boeing Global Services, Consumables & Expendables (C&E) Distribution Business, is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager in Burgess Hill, UK
In this impactful role, you will inspire and support a dedicated team focused on maintaining aerospace quality standards. You’ll foster an environment that values ongoing enhancement and operational excellence. Acting as a key liaison both within and outside the organization, you will nurture essential partnerships that drive business success. You will also track performance metrics, and lead efforts to resolve system backlogs with long-lasting solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
You are responsible for leading and coaching a team of Quality Engineers and Inspectors to ensure compliance with AS9100/9120 standards for aerospace processes, components and materials.
Ensure consistent site compliance, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
You manage the implementation and monitoring of process improvements.
You are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports to support business objectives.
You manage the departmental budget and fulfill other assigned tasks.
You are responsible for compliance with KPIs.
Lead the team through completion of SAP S4/HANA backlog recovery, focusing on systemic long term corrective action sustainment.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
In-depth knowledge of AS9100/9120 standards as well as FAA, CAA, EASA.
At least 6+ years of professional experience in a related field or role, with aerospace experience being highly preferred.
Solid experience with common ERP systems with SAP being highly preferred.
Fluent English Skills
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or any other associate degree in a related field of study.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Solid competencies in leading employees and the ability to create a motivating and structured work environment.
A general willingness to travel of about 25%.
Familiarity with international regulations and quality standards across Europe for the Aerospace and logistics industry.
