Job Description

Due to retirement, we are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality and food safety programs at our Cedarburg, WI fluid milk and cream facility. This role is responsible for driving compliance, continuous improvement, and a strong food safety culture in partnership with plant operations. This position reports to the Director, Quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily quality and food safety operations in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain audit readiness and oversee food safety, sanitation, and quality programs.
Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Oversee hold/release processes, documentation review, and KPI tracking.
Ensure compliance with specifications, preventive maintenance, and change control processes.
Lead plant quality initiatives, including EMP, lab testing, and data analysis.
Serve as primary contact for customer complaints and regulatory/customer audits.
Partner cross-functionally (Operations, R&D, leadership) to support quality and capital projects.
Develop, coach, and lead quality team members; provide food safety and compliance training.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5–8 years of QA experience in food, beverage, or similar manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of both laboratory and plant current good manufacturing practices.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience (manager experience preferred).
PCQI, HACCP, and/or SQF certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain).
