GENERAL DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality and Assurance Manager for the Logistics Industry to oversee the end-to-end quality control processes related to the logistics, handling, and delivery of server racks and associated IT infrastructure. This role plays a key part in maintaining high standards in service quality, damage prevention, compliance with ISO and GDP standards, and continuous improvement across our logistics operations.

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for the quality management program and ongoing maintenance/adherence to said program relating to cloud services including supporting the operations management to ensure compliance with operating procedures and client needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Quality Management Systems

  • Develop, implement, and maintain QMS aligned with ISO 9001 and relevant logistics/IT infrastructure quality standards.
  • Ensure all operations related to the transport and delivery of server racks adhere to internal and customer-defined quality standards.
  • Conduct weekly reviews to ensure quality is being maintained and review with Operations Manager.
  • Establish Quality Operations and Quality Control function at given location, including assisting in hiring, developing, and conducting training.
  • Determine process validation and maintenance of controlled requirements.
  • This process to be documented and retained based on good documentation processes as established
  • Partner with relevant internal and external teams to compliance. To be reviewed weekly.
  • inspection processes and to ensure those inspections are commensurate with the associated level of risk.
  • Work with Operations Management as needed to achieve root cause corrective action.
  • Develops and analyzes reports to monitor and evaluate quality performance in meeting established goals related to the quality management work plan and contractual requirements
  • Coordinates guidelines, studies, and performance improvement activities in concert with the utilization management, quality management, case management and device management programs.
  • Assists in the tracking and monitoring of processes for quality improvement activities according to regulatory requirements, policies and procedures, and contractual agreements.
  • Provides regular feedback and support to staff in meeting performance expectations.
  • Prepares, compiles, reviews, and submits monthly and quarterly reports to the leadership team.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as a subject matter expert on quality operations and quality control functions.
  • Identify problems, and propose resolutions that are timely, cost-effective, and meet quality requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned

Operational Quality Assurance

  • Monitor and audit warehouse and transport processes to ensure safe handling of high-value IT equipment.
  • Establish and enforce packaging, loading, and unloading standards to minimize transit damage or contamination.
  • Track damage rates, non-conformities, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

Supplier and Vendor Oversight

  • Collaborate with transport providers, subcontractors, and warehouse teams to ensure consistent quality in handling and delivery performance.
  • Evaluate and audit logistics partners for adherence to SLAs and quality KPIs

Client Satisfaction and Reporting

  • Address customer quality and safety concerns and lead root cause analysis and resolution plans.
  • Provide regular performance and compliance reports to internal stakeholders and clients.

Training and Development

  • Train warehouse and logistics staff on quality procedures, handling standards, and escalation protocols.
  • Promote a quality-focused culture across all touchpoints in the delivery process.

Safety and Compliance

  • Champion safety protocols in warehousing, transportation, and delivery activities, ensuring alignment with local health & safety regulations, EU standards, and internal HSE policies.
  • Perform risk assessments and enforce safe loading/unloading procedures for high-value IT hardware.
  • Ensure full compliance with GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and relevant regulatory standards for server rack distribution.
  • Oversee proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure logistics partners and employees adhere to all HSE requirements.
  • Maintain safety audit schedules and lead incident investigations related to logistics operations

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures, sampling procedures and sampling methods
  • In-depth knowledge of the interactions/interfaces between Risk Management, Quality Engineering and Quality Control processes
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to investigate complex issues using proven tools/methods, develop potential solutions, and implement fixes
  • Demonstrated team leadership and development skills including training of functional personnel to applicable standards and career planning for team members
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage frontline staff, contractors, and senior stakeholders internal and external.
  • Fluent in English; additional local languages are a plus.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, logistics risk management, and warehouse safety practices.
  • Experience with manual handling guidelines, equipment safety, and secure transit standards for IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to lead incident investigations and implement immediate containment and long-term prevention measures.
  • Understanding of environmental and occupational safety standards applicable to international logistics.
  • Certification in health & safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is highly desirable

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quality and/or safety assurance within logistics or technical goods delivery.
  • Proven expertise in ISO 9001, GDP standards, and warehouse safety protocols.
