Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and strengthen our quality systems across the entire value chain—from raw material suppliers to finished product delivery. This role ensures compliance with Indonesian food regulations and international standards, while maintaining customer-specific requirements and certifications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in QA systems, food safety, and supplier quality management within the coffee or food manufacturing industry.


Position Details

Position Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Department: Quality Systems Department

Report to: VP Quality Systems

Organizational Level: BOD-2

Placement: Sidoarjo Factory, East Java

Employment Status: Full-Time Position with 6-month probationary contract

Working Hours: 7am – 4pm (onsite)

Health Benefit: For male employees, coverage includes family members (spouse and up to three children); for female employees, coverage applies to the employee only.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Quality Strategy & Compliance

  • Develop and implement QA policies aligned with Indonesian food regulations (BPOM, SNI) and global standards (ISO 9001, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, HACCP, GFSI).
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality requirements and international export regulations.
  • Maintain readiness for audits by regulatory bodies, certification agencies, and customers.

2. Supplier Quality Assurance

  • Establish and manage supplier qualification programs, including audits and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure raw material compliance with specifications and food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement to enforce supplier corrective actions and continuous improvement.

3. Customer & Regulatory Compliance

  • Serve as the primary liaison for customer audits and quality documentation requests.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Maintain traceability systems and conduct mock recalls.

4. Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

  • Lead root cause analysis and implement CAPA for quality deviations.
  • Drive initiatives for process optimization without compromising quality or safety.
  • Monitor QA metrics and report trends to management.


REQUIREMENTS

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in food technology, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

2. Experience: Minimum 5 years in QA management within food manufacturing; coffee experience

preferred.

3. Technical Expertise

Indonesian food regulations (BPOM, SNI) and international standards (ISO, HACCP, FSSC 22000).

Supplier quality management and audit processes.

Coffee-specific quality standards and sensory evaluation.

4. Certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, HACCP, ISO/IEC 17025 (preferred).

5. Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, data analysis, effective communication.
