Job Description

METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012 METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale business in Pakistan marking the beginning of a long-term partnership to the mutual benefit of both companies. The merger allowed METRO and Makro-Habib to combine resources and gain the financial strength to lead and grow in a challenging environment and to gain synergies targeted to generate value for our customers and suppliers alike. **Quality Assurance Executive/Specialist - Responsibilities**

  • Manage and supervise in-store QA activities, ensuring compliance with METRO standards and local regulations; conduct statistical reporting and analysis to improve compliance performance
  • Implement and strengthen FSSC 22000, Halal, and METRO Corporate Standards; act as Food Safety Team Leader
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met through coordination with relevant stakeholders, authority agencies, and internal departments
  • Coordinate training programmes on food safety, quality, and legality aspects across the organisation
  • Establish and maintain SOPs/WIs aligned with company standards and national regulations, including product monitoring and labelling systems
  • Handle customer complaints, quality incidents, and crisis management, including product recalls and returns
  • Develop and implement document and data control systems
  • Reduce quality-related losses through collaboration with operations and QA teams to identify improvement opportunities
