Quality Assurance Engineer – Senior / Mid / Junior
Country: Poland
Location: Gdańsk (Hybrid)
Contract Type: Full Time, UoP
Department: R&D / Engineering
About the Role
Aritech has been a trusted name in the security industry for decades, with a portfolio recognized for reliability, innovation and performance.
We are growing our Quality Assurance team in Gdańsk and are looking for Quality Assurance Engineers at different stages of their careers, with a primary focus on Mid-Level and Senior Engineers. We are also open to talented Junior Engineers with strong technical foundations and a genuine interest in hardware, embedded systems and product quality.
In this role, you will help validate security sensors, control units and peripheral devices across both wired and wireless product portfolios. You will work hands-on with products in laboratory and, where applicable, field environments, ensuring that they meet functional, performance, robustness and reliability expectations.
The role combines device-level QA with laboratory validation and pre-certification activities. Depending on your experience, you may contribute to test execution and defect analysis, take ownership of comprehensive validation strategies, or support more advanced activities involving RF, EMC, environmental testing and standards such as EN 50131.
You will work closely with Hardware and Firmware Engineering, Product Management, Compliance and the wider QA organization to ensure products are robust, reliable and ready for production and external certification.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:
• Validate the functional behavior of security sensors, control units and peripheral devices.
• Test wired and wireless products across normal operation and real-world use cases.
• Validate device behavior during fault conditions, power-up, reset, recovery and abnormal scenarios.
• Design and execute functional, performance, stress, fault and robustness tests.
• Validate battery performance, power consumption and device stability.
• Perform environmental and reliability testing.
• Support RF performance testing, including range, sensitivity, interference and robustness scenarios.
• Execute and support pre-certification testing for EMC, environmental, RF and applicable security standards.
• Support product readiness for formal certification campaigns, including EN 50131 and CE-related activities where applicable.
• Translate product and system requirements into comprehensive and risk-based test scenarios.
• Create and maintain test plans, validation strategies, test reports and defect documentation.
• Analyze failures and investigate unexpected product behavior using logs, traces, measurements and test results.
• Troubleshoot issues using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and other measurement tools.
• Support and develop laboratory test setups and improve test repeatability.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers to identify, reproduce and resolve product issues.
• Work closely with Product Management, Compliance and the wider QA organization.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, laboratory practices and testing tools.
• Support test automation and development of automation frameworks where appropriate.
For Junior Engineers, responsibilities will be appropriately tailored to experience level and may include executing defined test scenarios, supporting laboratory testing and measurements, documenting results, reproducing defects and gradually taking ownership of more complex validation activities under the guidance of experienced QA engineers.
What We Are Looking For
For Mid-Level and Senior Engineers
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Professional experience in Quality Assurance, ideally involving hardware, embedded, electronics or electromechanical products.
• Hands-on experience with device-level testing in laboratory and/or field environments.
• Good understanding of electronics and hardware systems.
• Experience translating product and system requirements into effective test scenarios.
• Experience with functional, performance, robustness and fault-condition testing.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using laboratory measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Ability to analyze complex product behavior using logs, traces, measurements and test data.
• Knowledge of QA processes, methodologies and tools, with the ability to apply them in practice.
• Structured, data-driven approach to testing and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify physical, behavioral and usability edge cases.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with R&D, Product Management, Compliance and international teams.
For Junior Engineers
We are also open to candidates at the beginning of their QA or engineering careers who demonstrate strong technical foundations, curiosity and motivation to develop in product quality and validation.
For Junior candidates, we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or currently completing a relevant degree.
• Basic understanding of electronics and embedded systems.
• Academic, internship or personal-project experience involving hardware testing, electronics, embedded systems or laboratory work is desirable.
• Interest in quality assurance, testing and troubleshooting.
• Basic familiarity with laboratory measurement equipment is a plus.
• Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop practical QA and laboratory testing skills under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
Nice to Have
• Experience with RF testing and sub-GHz communication systems.
• Experience with EMC and environmental testing.
• Experience with laboratory environments, including EMC chambers, RF setups or environmental chambers.
• Experience with EN 50131 or similar security/product standards.
• Experience in intrusion detection, security systems or sensing products.
• Experience with test automation using Python.
• Knowledge of LabVIEW.
• ISTQB certification.
• Experience with Atlassian tools, particularly Jira and Confluence.
