As a QA Engineer Intern at Sertis, you will gain hands-on experience in ensuring the quality and reliability of real-world software products. You will work alongside experienced QA engineers and developers to perform both manual and automated testing, design and execute test cases, identify and report issues, and contribute to test automation. You will also gain exposure to API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern QA tools and practices. This internship is an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects while developing your technical, testing, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

In this role, you will get to:

• Perform both manual and automated testing across web applications, APIs, and other systems.
• Design and execute test scenarios and test cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Pytest and Playwright, with guidance from the QA team.
• Perform API testing and data validation, and identify, document, and track bugs.
• Work closely with QA engineers, developers, and other teams to understand requirements, investigate issues, and improve product quality.
• Gain exposure to CI/CD, AI-assisted testing, and modern QA tools and practices.

You'll be successful if you have:

• Currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A foundational understanding of software testing concepts and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Good programming or scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, or a similar language, with an interest in applying them to test automation.
• Some familiarity with APIs, databases, and SQL through coursework, projects, or self-study.
• An interest in manual and automated testing, with curiosity about modern QA tools and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

​Nice to have:

• Experience with testing or automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar tools.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Basic familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and Docker
• Personal or academic projects involving software testing or test automation.
