We are hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead quality strategy, automation architecture, performance engineering and security validation for a digital authentication platform serving the banking sector, alongside a consumer-facing application.

This role combines technical leadership, hands-on quality engineering, enterprise observability integration and compliance readiness. You will independently translate product and business requirements into scalable QA strategies, establish automation frameworks, ensure system resilience under high authentication traffic and build audit-ready processes aligned with fintech and banking standards. This is a mission-critical role focused on reliability, security and enterprise-grade performance.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Strategy & Leadership

• Own end-to-end QA strategy across B2B authentication systems and consumer applications
• Define testing standards, release governance and risk-based testing frameworks
• Establish automation-first QA practices
• Create structured regression, performance and security testing pipelines
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps to ensure quality at every stage of the SDLC
• Lead QA planning, risk assessment and production sign-offs

2. Functional & API Testing (Authentication Systems)

• Design and execute comprehensive test cases for multi-factor authentication workflows, OTP validation flows, JWT / OAuth-based authentication, session lifecycle & token expiry, and role-based access control (RBAC)
• Perform API validation using Postman / REST Assured
• Validate edge cases including retry logic, rate limiting and lockout mechanisms
• Ensure cross-device, cross-browser and cross-environment reliability

3. Automation Engineering & CI/CD Integration

• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks
• Implement UI automation using Playwright / Selenium / Cypress
• Build API automation pipelines
• Integrate automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI)
• Ensure high regression coverage for critical authentication flows

4. Performance & Load Engineering

• Design load testing strategies for high-volume authentication traffic
• Simulate concurrent login bursts, token generation spikes and OTP validation surges
• Use tools such as JMeter / k6 / Gatling
• Identify system bottlenecks and optimise for scalability
• Validate system behaviour under peak stress conditions

5. Enterprise Observability & APM Monitoring

• Collaborate with DevOps to implement enterprise-grade APM and observability tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic)
• Monitor authentication latency, error rates, API response times and infrastructure health
• Define SLAs and SLOs aligned with banking-grade expectations
• Implement alerting mechanisms for anomaly detection and traffic spikes
• Support distributed tracing and root cause analysis

6. Security Testing & Compliance Readiness

• Conduct vulnerability validation and security testing
• Use tools such as OWASP ZAP / Burp Suite / SonarQube
• Validate encryption, token integrity, brute-force protection and injection prevention
• Ensure readiness for fintech and banking compliance standards
• Maintain structured defect logs and audit documentation

Required Technical Skills

Core QA & Testing Expertise

• Strong understanding of SDLC & STLC
• Risk-based and regression testing methodologies
• Experience in API-first testing environments
• Strong test documentation and traceability practices

Authentication & API Systems

• Experience testing OAuth 2.0, JWT and secure session handling
• Strong API testing knowledge
• Understanding of rate limiting, encryption basics and secure API design

Automation & Performance

• Experience with Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
• Experience with JMeter / k6
• CI/CD pipeline integration knowledge

Observability & Monitoring

• Experience working with enterprise-grade APM tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog or equivalent)
• Understanding of distributed tracing and SLA monitoring
• Log analysis and incident response support

Professional Qualifications

• 2+ years of QA or quality engineering experience
• Experience in fintech, banking, SaaS or security platforms preferred
• Proven experience working on production-grade systems
• Strong analytical and independent problem-solving ability
• Experience leading QA initiatives or mentoring team members preferred
