Quality Assurance Coordinator

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Quality, the Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) across IDL's Campbellfield site.

As the primary on-site Quality representative, you will lead the Quality Control team and work closely with Operations to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, customer and regulatory requirements. This highly visible role is responsible for site audit readiness, GMP programmes, non-conformance management, product quality compliance and continuous improvement activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality professional looking to take ownership of site quality systems while developing leadership capability within a growing beverage manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System across our Campbellfield site.
  • Lead and support the Quality Control team to ensure effective day-to-day quality operations.
  • Ensure compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, GMP, customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate internal, customer and third-party audits and manage audit readiness.
  • Manage non-conformances, customer complaints and corrective action programmes.
  • Coordinate investigation of quality, GMP and food safety incidents.
  • Manage non-conforming product and quarantine stock.
  • Support product traceability, quality verification and complaint investigations.
  • Maintain quality documentation, records and document control systems.
  • Provide quality support and guidance to operational teams.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across quality and food safety systems.
  • Promote a positive food safety and quality culture across the site.

About You

You will be an organised and hands-on Quality professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and driving standards on the factory floor.

Essential

  • Experience in a Quality Assurance, Food Safety or Compliance role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, GMP and food safety requirements.
  • Experience supporting internal, customer or regulatory audits.
  • Strong investigation, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Experience leading, coordinating or mentoring a small team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.

Desirable

  • Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience within the beverage, brewing, distilling or FMCG industries.
  • Knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety, HACCP or other recognised food safety certification standards.
  • Internal Auditor training or certification.

In 2025 we invested in additional assets in Campbellfield, where this role is based, adding another bottling and canning line to our capacity as well as a brewhouse and state of the art distillery.

We offer complete private label and contract beverage production solutions for our customers who are interested in the development of their own labels for the domestic and export markets. Our facility houses some of the most sophisticated beverage processing equipment in the world, leading us to invest in new technology both in beverage production, packaging and IT systems.
