Lynn Lake Project

The Lynn Lake Gold Project, located in northern Manitoba, is one of the highest-grade open pit gold deposits in Canada. The project consists of the MacLellan and Gordon sites, located just east of the Town of Lynn Lake. With strong infrastructure already in place, the project represents a significant opportunity to support future growth in Canada.

This role supports a Canadian site-based construction project focused on delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality infrastructure to support ongoing mining operations. The environment is fast-paced, safety-driven, and highly collaborative.


Quality Assurance Coordinator

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working with the broader Lynn Lake Gold Project team, the Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation, tracking, and assured compliance with the project construction quality program as well as the vendor/supplier quality delivery.

This position will work on a site-based rotational schedule consisting of 15 days-on, followed by 13 days-off. Travel to engineering consultant offices as well as vendor/supplier facilities will also be required on an as-needed basis.

The successful candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, possesses a positive and collaborative attitude. You are an effective and efficient communicator, able to deal efficiently with change, and have prior experience in both EPCM / construction environments. The role also requires coordination and collaboration with many project team stakeholders and the ability to analyze, compile, control, and organize large quantities of information and documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Finalize development, and continue maintenance and updates, of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans for project construction
  • Implement, track, and consolidate documentation for the project construction quality program as well as the vendor/supplier quality program
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other relevant parties
  • Review drawings, scopes of work, and other relevant contract documents, for compliance to ensure supplier and contractor proposals include adequate plans to meet the project quality requirements
  • Monitor overall construction performance related to technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements
  • Manage project quality turn-over documentation and compliance
  • Consult on project specific quality control strategy
  • Participate in workplace inspections and construction methodology reviews
  • Work directly with contractors and suppliers to develop detailed ITPs and oversee field execution of those plans
  • Other project tasks, as required

What You Bring!

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical diploma with relevant industry experience required
  • 10 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control
  • Mining or heavy industrial construction experience considered essential
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Excellent planning, leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced work environment

Salary Range: CAD $98,600 to $147,900

The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
