As a Quality Assurance Associate – Digital Quality, Systems & AI Compliance supporting our Commercial Operations, Digital Transformation, and Quality teams, you will be trusted to ensure that business systems, digital technologies, and AI-enabled solutions are managed in a compliant, effective, and risk-based manner while enabling innovation across the organization at Fribourg. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Partnering with Commercial, Customer Service, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, IT, Data Analytics, and Quality teams to support the governance, implementation, validation, and continuous improvement of digital platforms and business systems.
  • Providing quality oversight for digital tools, including CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), customer support systems, document management systems, learning management systems, analytics platforms, and AI-enabled solutions, ensuring compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and data integrity requirements.
  • Supporting the responsible deployment and use of Artificial Intelligence technologies by conducting risk assessments, contributing to governance frameworks, developing best practices, and monitoring quality and compliance risks associated with AI-driven processes.
  • Leading or supporting investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and quality events related to computerized systems and business processes, utilizing structured root cause analysis and ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Supporting audit and inspection readiness activities, supplier qualification programs, and compliance monitoring while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, operational efficiency, and digital maturity.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, Digital Quality, Compliance, IT Quality, Computerized System Management, or regulated healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working with enterprise systems such as CRM platforms (Salesforce), document management systems, learning management systems, customer engagement platforms, analytics solutions, or other business-critical applications.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), GxP regulations, data integrity principles, CAPA, change control, risk management, supplier management, and audit processes.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, intelligent automation, digital transformation initiatives, and technology governance frameworks.
  • Ability to assess technology-related risks, translate quality requirements into practical business solutions, and support compliant innovation within a regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business, quality, and technology functions.
