The Mission

The NFR Hubs Romania team is an integral part of ING’s Non-Financial Risk domain. The teamis responsible forensuring consistent implementation of NFR frameworks, policies, and procedures, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment within the hubs. The responsibilities include the performance of second linemonitoring onKey Controls for all entities of ING and involvement of (thematic) deep dives

Your day to day

AsaQASLM NFR Specialist, you willbe responsible for

  • Support the NFR Quality Assurance & Second Line Monitoring (QA&SLM) team by contributing to assigned tasks and work on the team’s goals;

  • Perform deep dives on top NFR risks in accordance with global and local priorities

  • Perform second line monitoring on assigned key controls per framework;

  • Workactivelywith colleagues to help deliver teamobjectivesefficiently, focusing on risk-based approaches;

  • Analyze the outcome of the SLM activities and share clear and transparent reports to the ING entities;

  • Show a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn by taking responsibility for tasks and completing your work, even when challenges arise;

  • Apply yoursolidunderstanding of non-financial risk and analytical skills to support internal teams and develop positive working relationships;

  • Carry out assigned tasks independently,demonstrateinitiative when possible, and help with changes that improve the team’s results;

  • Contribute toING’s non-financial risk management efforts and helpmaintaincompliance with regulations by performing your duties diligently.

Specific tasks

  • Contribute toperforming second line monitoring activities on assigned key controls according to the established framework;

  • Collect and review relevant documentation and evidence to support monitoring activities;

  • Document findings and observations from monitoring reviews in a clear and structured manner;

  • Contribute tothe preparation of reports summarizing monitoring outcomes for internal stakeholders;

  • Collaborate with team members to clarify issues and escalate concernsidentifiedduring monitoring;

  • Activelyparticipatein team meetings and training sessions to develop understanding of non-financial risk processes and best practices.

Whatyou’llbring to the team

  • University/Post Graduate (Master’s) Degree;
  • Knowledge of Non-Financial Risk Management Framework, governance and methodology including related processes, controls and relevant regulations (e.g. EBA, ECB);
  • Understanding of Operational Risk Management Guidelines and related internal control standards (e.g. Fraud, Processing, TIPM, Resilience, etc.);
  • 5+ years working experience preferably within the banking sector;
  • Good knowledge of analytical, problem-solving, and delivery skills;
  • Sound stakeholder management and influencing skills;
  • Able to communicate clearly, good presentation skills, and coordination capabilities;
  • Ability to work across geographies.
