Job Description

Job Purpose
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be collaborating and supporting a cross-functional team. This role will focus on creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases. The work will involve reviewing and analyzing system specifications, conducting testing, both manual and automated, before product launches to ensure the software runs smoothly and meets client needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for testing complex and highly integrated software systems developed in a fast-paced agile development environment
• Plan and design Test Strategies and QA procedures
• Engage in robust requirements review or story refinement
• Test planning and execution of Test Plan by co-ordinate with all team members to ensure completion
• Advocate for and ensure that the team performs the prescribed quality practices.
• Where exceptions are made, articulate the quality risk and potential impact/mitigation to the team, product manager or owner, and program manager
• Coordinate with QA Lead to plan and execute feature-level integration testing
• Ability to work independently and as a team member by taking initiative and being proactive.
• Analyze, maintain, and track defects for testing
• Validate conformance to requirements and that acceptance criteria have been met
• Where acceptance criteria are not provided, work with Product to derive criteria, if needed
• Ensure that stories have met Definition of Done
• Summarize testing and validation results and communicate with project team members regarding status
• Escalate issues or obstacles appropriately and timely
• Provide insightful input to retrospectives, participate meaningfully in the meetings and reviews
• Provide status as per the teams established process
Qualifications
• Solid work experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role for at least 5 years of experience with the ability to work independently, manage assigned responsibilities and deliver results with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of QA processes and methodologies, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Product and Development teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with practical knowledge of database operations and industry best practices.
• Ability to provide clear, accurate, and timely end-of-day (EOD) status updates on testing activities, issues, risks, and overall progress.
• Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create clear, accurate, and comprehensive QA artifacts, including test plans, test cases, test results, defect reports, and related quality documentation.
• Must have working knowledge of Automation – with tools like Selenium, AWS, and SQL
• Experience in Test Management Tool like QMetry, etc.
• Strong working knowledge of Bug and Task Tracking tools like JIRA
• Perform data validation writing effective SQL queries
• Support deployments to QA and higher environment. Should be able to use Jenkins and run as well as debug deployment jobs
• Good to have experience ETL/Data Quality testing.
• Should have working knowledge of API testing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical and non-technical concepts to peers, customers, and management.
• Demonstrated ability to make effective and timely decisions aligned with departmental objectives, sound business judgment, and industry best practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex and demanding projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining quality.
Working Conditions
• Work Setup: Fulltime Permanent Remote
• Work Schedule: Night Shift - US Hours
• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move around the work area; Sit; perform manual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such as computer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel; talk and hear.
• Mental Demands: The employee must be able to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress.
• Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
