2 Vacancies - 15 Month Contract

Who we are:

  • ·The Quality Assurance (QA) Team at Meridian Credit Union is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of changes across our internal and external applications before they are released into production.
  • Our role goes beyond executing test cases. We partner closely with business and technology teams to:
  • Assess risk early
  • Validate requirements and system behavior
  • Identify gaps and edge cases
  • Help ensure changes meet both business needs and member expectations

About the Program

The QA Development Program is designed to develop analytical, quality‑focused thinkers who are interested in technology and continuous learning.

Through a combination of structured learning and hands‑on experience, participants will:

  • Build a strong foundation in software testing and quality assurance practices
  • Learn how to think critically about system behavior, risk, and impact
  • Gain exposure to modern QA tools, techniques, and technologies

Program Structure

  • 2 weeks of virtual classroom training (9:00–4:00 daily) led by experienced QA team members
  • practical, on‑the‑job training with mentorship and hands‑on project work
  • Opportunities to support testing across Meridian applications
  • Continuous learning as you expand your knowledge of Meridian’s systems and delivery processes

  • Candidate will shadow a QA team member
  • Requirements Analysis & Test Case Design
  • Attend all QA meetings
  • Functional Testing / Non-Functional Testing
  • Develop test cases and test scripts
  • Test Strategy Design
  • Develop Test Strategies
  • SQL Training
  • Complete UAT documents
  • Testing Tools
  • Perform environment duties
  • Test Case Management
  • Execute test cases, test scripts and log Defects
  • Defect Management
  • Prepare QA Sign offs
  • Testing Techniques
  • Execute Integration & PIV scripts

Selection Criteria:

  • 5+ years knowledge and experience of Meridian’s applications (Encore, Ovation, Intellilender, Trellis, Online Banking, Mobile App)
  • Post-secondary education (College/University)
  • Strong interest in technology, AI, quality, and continuous learning
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills
