At CBC/Radio-Canada, we all have a story to tell. What’s yours?
If you share our passion for Canadian storytelling and you wish to help us engage with individuals and communities across our various digital platforms, this is where you’ll want to be!
Every day, you’ll have an opportunity to shape the way in which Canadians see themselves reflected in our digital services. Your work will have a direct impact on how millions of Canadians from various communities connect with our products, with one another and with the diverse voices that make our country so unique.
You’ll have the opportunity to play a part in enlightening and entertaining Canadians through our innovative work in building the mediums that deliver our content. We’re an innovative hub, where the talented professionals we work with are respected and valued for their contributions. Our product teams are vibrant, and our work culture strives to achieve the highest standards of diversity and inclusion. We believe that hiring people with different career paths and backgrounds is fundamental in our shared success and in building healthy, high-performing teams. When you join our mission, you’re not only shaping the vision of CBC/Radio-Canada, but the future of our country.
We know that commitment to equity, inclusion and diversity is essential to creating content that mirrors and resonates with the rich and evolving makeup of our country. We’re also committed to reaching out and connecting with our audience on multiple platforms; this includes creating virtual places where communities can come together.
This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
You will be a core member of our software development team. Working closely with product managers and developers, your mission is to champion product quality from day one by embedding a shift-left testing strategy.
Rather than testing only at the end of the release pipeline, you will collaborate from the initial requirements and design phases to prevent defects, establish clear acceptance criteria and help shape our test architecture. You will drive comprehensive testing strategies — spanning automated, exploratory and regression testing — to ensure smooth, frequent and reliable releases while advancing adherence to quality standards and industry best practices.
Our team is responsible for the OHdio ecosystem, Radio-Canada’s flagship French-language audio platform. By joining this cross-platform initiative (covering iOS and Android mobile apps, web, connected car systems like CarPlay and Android Auto, and smart devices), you will directly impact the daily listening experience of hundreds of thousands of users. From live radio streams and original podcasts to audiobooks and curated playlists, you will ensure continuous stability, high performance and top-tier quality for a premier digital product.
The OHdio team is actively transitioning to an integrated quality engineering culture. You won't be stepping into a rigid, pre-established framework; you will play a hands-on role in building it. You will help drive our shift-left practices, structure our automated testing stack (Playwright, Appium, TestRail) and define the engineering standards that will guide our team for years to come. If you want to make a lasting impact on how we build and ship digital products, this role is for you.
Please note this is a 12-month contract position, renewable annually. This regular position is not a consulting role but a long-term opportunity with competitive CBC/Radio-Canada employee benefits.
Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
As part of our recruitment process, candidates who advance to the next
step will be asked to complete a background check. This includes:
