Infor is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented QA Analyst, Associate to join the Hospitality Point of Sale (POS) engineering team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to ensure the delivery of highly reliable, scalable, and user-friendly software solutions. The role offers hands-on exposure to test automation, API testing, performance testing, cloud-native applications, and Agile software development practices.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Python and Pytest
- Validate REST APIs, backend services, and microservices architectures.
- Design and execute performance and load tests using tools such as Locust
- Verify application quality across web applications, APIs, and distributed cloud services.
- Identify, document, track, and validate software defects.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate with developers to promote a shift-left quality culture.
- Support root cause analysis and defect resolution activities.
- Contribute to test planning, automation strategy, and quality metrics reporting.
- Support release validation and production readiness activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation coverage and product quality.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 0-1 years of experience in Software Testing, QA, internships, academic projects, or related hands-on experience.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Familiarity with Python programming.
- Basic understanding of test automation concepts.
- Understanding of Functional, Regression, Integration, and API Testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or exposure to Pytest or similar automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with REST API Testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Knowledge of performance and load testing concepts.
- Exposure to Locust, JMeter, or k6
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services and cloud-native applications.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience testing web applications built on React, Angular, or Vue
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
