Job Description

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

In this fixed-term contract opportunity, you'll be based in our Toronto, Richmond Hill (East Beaver Creek) office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. As a member of the project team, you'll help ensure software solutions are thoroughly tested, meet business requirements, and are ready for successful deployment. You'll work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and an experienced Quality Assurance team while gaining valuable exposure to a high-profile transformation program. The successful candidate will benefit from ongoing collaboration, support, and knowledge sharing from dedicated QA professionals.

A role you will love

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you'll support a major internal transformation project by validating software functionality, identifying defects, and helping ensure quality standards are achieved throughout the testing lifecycle. You'll collaborate with stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle and play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of transformation initiatives.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with complex systems, and contributing to successful project outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing business and functional requirements and developing testing strategies
  • Creating, maintaining, and executing test plans and test cases
  • Performing end-to-end, black box, white box, and regression testing
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through resolution
  • Validating communications outputs generated through the transformation project
  • Collaborating with Developers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance activities
  • Maintaining testing documentation and contributing to continuous process improvements
  • Participating in the validation of system upgrades and software releases
  • Working closely with a dedicated QA team throughout the project lifecycle

What will you bring to the role?

Required:

  • Quality assurance testing experience within a commercial environment
  • Strong understanding of software testing and quality assurance methodologies
  • Strong database knowledge and SQL querying experience
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO), Jenkins, SharePoint, MTM, and PDF comparison tools
  • Thorough understanding of black box, white box, end-to-end, and regression testing methodologies
  • Ability to read and analyze structured data formats, including XML and flat files
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • University degree in an Information Technology-related field or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

Preferred:

  • Automation testing experience
  • Experience testing Quadient Inspire CCM platforms
  • ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications
  • Financial services experience
  • Experience working within banking or other highly regulated environments

This is a fixed-term contract opportunity through June 30, 2027 supporting a key transformation initiative within Computershare.
