Your Role:

The Quality Associate Scientist (Analytical) is responsible for performing analytical testing of finished products, raw materials, custom analytical projects, and in-process samples. In this role you will assist in solving problems and optimizing processes and methods, also participate in Out of Specification (OOS) investigations. All work is to be performed accurately, and in compliance with MilliporeSigma, Round Rock Quality and Safety policies.

  • Conduct work in a professional manner.
  • Undertake a narrow range of analytical analyses in support Of MilliporeSigma catalog, custom and new products.
  • Assist in technical problem solving, implementation of new processes and initiatives.
  • Complete laboratory maintenance and housekeeping activities in accordance with safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Complete laboratory equipment calibrations, verifications, and maintenance activities on schedule with documentation.
  • Train on and demonstrate understanding of a narrow range of analytical techniques.
  • Demonstrate understanding of departmental goals, MilliporeSigma processes, safety policies and quality systems.
  • Work in accordance with documentation, quality and process policies and procedures.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or other Life Science discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience with FTIR, ROI, KF, MP, BP, GCHS, HPLC, GC/HS, IC, ICPMS or Titration testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree Chemistry, Biology or other Life Science discipline.
  • 1+Years of experience with ISO 9001, 17025 or 17034 standards.
  • The associate Scientist has knowledge of and may have experience. in analytical methods and interpretation of analytical results.
  • Effective verbal and technical writing skills. Ability to write procedures, reports, OOS reports, technical presentation, etc.
  • Fundamental understanding of MilliporeSigma products, their applications and requirements.
  • Understanding of MilliporeSigma quality system for ISO regulatory requirements.

Pay Range for this position: $25.00 - $39.00

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
