About
The Quality Associate III/IV is a member of the Quality Assurance Department and is responsible for supporting the maintenance, administration, and continuous improvement of BSC’s Quality Management System (QMS) and related quality processes. Placement at the Associate III or Associate IV level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform all work in accordance with BSC’s safety policies, procedures, and programs
- Review and approve raw materials, intermediates, and finished products against established specifications and procedures
- Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials to appropriate stakeholders
- Support investigations of quality-related issues, including root cause analysis and material disposition decisions
- Manage quality status and inventory release activities for process intermediates and finished goods
- Perform Quality Assurance review and approval of incoming customer orders
- Prepare, review, and maintain Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and other required quality documentation for customer shipments
- Coordinate external testing activities, including sample preparation, documentation, and shipment to testing laboratories
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements and quality standards are met
- Develop, publish, revise, and maintain specifications for developmental materials, intermediates, and finished products
- Effectively manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide off-hours support for material review and approval activities, as required

Qualifications

Qualifications
QA Associate III
- Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Physics) and 0–1 year of relevant experience; or
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
QA Associate IV
- Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Physics) and 1–3 years of relevant experience; or
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
Experience and Skills
- Knowledge of chemistry and experience handling chemicals preferred
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel; experience with Chempax is a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance principles, including statistical analysis, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and change management methodologies

Work Environment
- This position requires extended periods of computer and keyboard use
- The employee must be able to move throughout a multi-building campus, including office areas, filing and storage rooms, and between the Mead and Longmont facilities
- The employee may occasionally be required to inspect or weigh samples and containers
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory when performing designated tasks or entering specified work areas
Pay
- Ray Range: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour, plus participation in the Company Bonus Plan
