Job Description

Audubon is currently seeking a Quality and Technical Specialist to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. The Quality and Technical Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our field personnel by providing expert support for facility non-destructive testing, data and quality. This role will involve the application of industry standards and Audubon’s written practice and compliance with industry regulations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical support and guidance to field technicians, engineers, and managers.
  • Determine needed materials and manpower per client scope of work and assist management with the creation of estimates and proposals.
  • Collaborate with engineering and field teams to develop and implement NDT techniques and inspection procedures.
  • Audit field data, reports, field personnel for procedural compliance, and identify and address any deficiencies or areas for improvement.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops on pipeline integrity and NDT methods.
  • Stay current with industry standards and advancements in NDT technology.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive database of qualified personnel, tracking their certifications and training records.
  • Coordinate and schedule OQ assessments and training for employees.
  • Ensure that all OQ training and assessments are completed in a timely manner and according to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Operators and industry partners to stay current on OQ requirements and best practices.
  • Manage and maintain documentation related to OQ records, assessments, and training materials.
  • Develop and deliver quality reports and updates to senior management.

  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • NDT experience is required.
  • Data experience is required.
  • Documentation control experience is required.
  • Proven experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Knowledge of NACE and industry standards related to corrosion control.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with inspection and monitoring equipment and tools.
  • Safety-conscious and commitment to adhering to safety protocols.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with relevant software.
  • NDT expertise.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork.
  • Technical knowledge of pipeline integrity programs.
  • Adherence to safety protocols.
  • Continuous learning and staying updated with industry advancements.
