Job Description

Quality and Performance Junior Analyst

About Satellogic

Satellogic is a vertically integrated Earth Observation company that designs, manufactures, and operates satellite systems, delivering decision-grade insights at scale to government and commercial customers.

We build space systems end-to-end, from satellite design and manufacturing to launch and on-orbit operations, giving us the ability to deploy quickly, operate reliably, and support persistent monitoring across regions and priority areas. Our approach moves customers beyond one-off imagery toward continuous awareness and alert-driven decision-making, with flexible pathways that can evolve from managed monitoring to full satellite ownership and sovereign control.

Our technology supports a wide range of use cases across climate monitoring, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, defense and intelligence, helping organizations detect change, manage risk, and plan with confidence.

With a team distributed across five countries, Satellogic brings together expertise in satellite engineering, software development, data science, manufacturing, operations, and go-to-market. We’re a group of purpose-driven builders who value ownership, curiosity, and execution—and who work with humility, honesty, and empathy.

About the team

The Quality and Performance Team defines, maintains and ensures process standards and metrics across our Engineering R&D area.

We analyze the key processes of satellite design and iteration to foster cohesive, seamless interactions between all involved areas. Also, we collaborate closely with the Frameworks and Tools Team to implement process improvements directly into our software environment.

At Satellogic, the technology development process is cyclical and continuous. In this role, your contributions will directly support our ability to manufacture highly reliable satellites and subassemblies at scale. Our team is committed to continuous learning and pushing boundaries, leveraging the diverse profiles and backgrounds of our members to drive innovation.

About the position

As a Quality and Performance Analyst, you will be an integral part of the Product Assurance Team. You will actively participate in standardizing company processes using a systematic approach, analyzing and defining key indicators to monitor procedures, and proposing continuous improvements to the team.

A central pillar of this role is contributing to the manufacturing change control management process, ensuring strict oversight and traceability throughout the satellite production lifecycle.

In this position, you will have the unique opportunity to interact across all departments, giving you a high-level view of our business and technical needs. You will support users from various areas with diverse mindsets and technical backgrounds, balancing and prioritizing their needs to maximize company resources. Drawing on your experience, you will propose best practices and innovative solutions to elevate the efficiency of our software systems, directly driving Satellogic’s ongoing Digital Transformation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Mapping and Improvements

Satellites are highly complex systems involving hardware, embedded software, and ground segment infrastructure. The analyst must understand how these multidisciplinary teams interact.

  • Bridge the Gaps & Identify Bottlenecks: Map out the lifecycle of a satellite's design from initial requirement to assembly, integration, and testing ensuring seamless handoffs between hardware and software teams. Analyze workflows to find inefficiencies or friction points that slow down the R&D Engineering cycle.
  • Scalability: Suggest framework and process enhancements that help the company transition smoothly from experimental prototyping to high-volume, reliable manufacturing.

2. R&D and Manufacturing Change Control

  • Change Control Management: Manage and optimize the software workflows that handle Deviations and Waivers for satellite and subassembly manufacturing. Ensure the system perfectly captures engineering justifications, risk assessments, and sign-offs.
  • Traceability & Configuration Accounting: Guarantee that every single satellite "As-Built" configuration in the system exactly reflects its "As-Designed" state, ensuring any approved deviations or waivers are digitally tied to the specific satellite serial number (as satellite constellations require rigorous serialized tracking).
  • System Safeguards & Gatekeeping: Configure and support the manufacturing systems to prevent components with unauthorized deviations or open waivers from advancing down the assembly, integration, and testing pipeline.
  • Non-Conformance (NCR) Workflow Management: Coordinate with Manufacturing, Hardware Devs, and Product Assurance to bridge the gap between a physical non-conformance on the shop floor and its digital resolution (Waiver, Rework, or Scrap) in the production.
  • Data Integrity & Impact Analytics: Analyze data trends regarding recurring deviations and waivers to help the R&D team identify design flaws, update the master engineering baselines, and drive continuous manufacturing performance.

Location

The preferred location is Buenos Aires/ArgentinaAvailability to travel is required, specifically to our plant facilities in Montevideo.

About you

Experience

  • Current studies or proven working experience in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or Data Analytics.

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Experience: Data analytics software for technical reports.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both deeply technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mindset: A strong capacity for continuous learning and a passion for pushing technical boundaries.
  • Language: Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).

What We Value

  • Experience working with manufacturing software tools (MES, PLM, ERP), configuration management standards, or quality control frameworks in high-tech manufacturing environments (Aerospace, Automotive, or Electronics).
  • Understanding of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), Deviations, and Waivers is a major asset.
  • Capacity to work with data analytic softwares.

Diversity Commitment

Satellogic values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer. We are convinced that hiring and developing top talent from around the world for any given discipline will drive innovation, generate new solutions, and deliver a superior product to our global customer base. We work to build an equitable and inclusive environment in which all people, regardless of gender, race, religion, or background, can come together to do their best work.
