Job Description

The Gas Power Engineering Quality Intern Engineer is responsible of the optimization of the process, tools, and guidelines, working on activities that contribute to improve our QMS, products, solutions, and systems to avoid defect reoccurrences. In addition, is responsible for applying lean methodology, tools and concepts in the improvement of our processes, tools, and working on activities that contribute to improving our QMS, products, solutions, and systems to avoid lean manufacturing waste.

The Gas Power Engineering Quality Intern Engineer is responsible of the optimization of the process, tools, and guidelines, working on activities that contribute to improve our QMS, products, solutions, and systems to avoid defect reoccurrences. In addition, is responsible for applying lean methodology, tools and concepts in the improvement of our processes, tools, and working on activities that contribute to improving our QMS, products, solutions, and systems to avoid lean manufacturing waste.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop assigned tasks following any of our Quality Management System Databases (Confluence, Documentum, etc.)
  • Provide automated reports to provide high quality of data and process consistency for Top Leadership.
  • Apply Lean and Statistical engineering analyses, techniques, and methodologies to improve processes.
  • Contribute to team and business goals and accomplishments, to improve productivity and business response.
  • Support/Lead Communication related to Quality Culture in Queretaro Site.
  • The intern will be responsible for supporting continuous improvement efforts across organizations.
  • Support Lean Culture deployment across organization.
  • Applies Lean and Statistical analyses, techniques, and methodologies to improve processes.
  • Contribute to team and business goals and accomplishments, to improve productivity and business response.
  • Optimize current tools and develop new tools or mechanisms to improve performance organization.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Studying bachelor’s degree in engineering, 7 th semester onwards (Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronic, etc).
  • English level intermediate or advanced (Must be able to maintain a normal day-to-day conversation on any topic including technical discussions).
  • Skills/familiarity applying Lean tools/concepts.
  • High desire to work in a Cross functional environment
  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools, lean (8 wastes, 5s, etc.)
  • Willing to work on an ambient driven by priorities, urgencies and business critical issues, situational adaptability.
  • Hight self-confidence and Self-awareness.

Desired characteristics

  • Desired to have proficiency with programming languages
  • Desired to have experience working on Quality Systems
  • High desire to work in cross functional environment
  • Knowledge in ISO 9001:2015, Lean and/or Six Sigma tools
  • Willing to work on an environment driven by priorities
