Job Description

The Quality and Food Safety Systems Deployment Lead supports superior product quality and food safety performance at the regional level by leading Q&FS system initiatives and implementation. This role is responsible for governing and mapping quality control points across the regional supply chain, ensuring data consistency, and driving standardized quality processes aligned with global standards. The role also supports quality network digitalization and partners closely with cross-functional teams to deploy regional Q&FS digital roadmaps, enhance system capabilities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen compliance, operational excellence, and consumer trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the mapping and governance of regional quality control points, ensuring consistent data capture, monitoring, and traceability from raw materials through finished products in market to support product conformance and continuous improvement projects
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps in quality data and processes, supporting corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align digital quality initiatives with global & regional roadmaps and local priorities.
  • Support supply network digitalization by integrating Q&FS requirements into regional digital workstreams and projects.
  • Provide leadership in the creation, planning, and deployment of Q&FS strategies and initiatives based on data insights and regional business needs.
  • Support advanced analytics initiatives to enhance product performance, compliance, and customer centricity within the region.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for sites in response to requested support on related areas of data analysis
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and mentor associates on data analysis, quality standards, and digital tools.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure regional alignment with Mars Petcare quality ecosystem vision and digital transformation goals.

Context and Scope

  • Act as the primary functional partner for Q&FS digital needs within the region, ensuring alignment with global standards and local business requirements.
  • Support governance of quality data in coordination with Manufacturing Data Management (MDM) and other data stewardship programs.
  • Participate in regional digital ecosystem development, including automation, sampling, quality controls, and training initiatives.
  • Engage with external partners and labs to automate quality data capture and analytics where applicable.
  • Contribute to regional quality culture by promoting data-driven decision-making and digital adoption.

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; in Food Science, Data Science, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, food safety, or data analytics within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Proven project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong expertise in Q&FS principles, quality control processes, and data governance.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners, ex: Supply, R&D, and Commercial teams.
  • Familiarity with digital quality tools, data analytics platforms, and manufacturing data management systems.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and business strategies.
