The opportunity

We are looking for a Quality and Delivery Manager to lead quality, delivery excellence, and productivity improvement for a business‑critical internal digital solution for supporting the service business. The platform handles sensitive data sourced from multiple enterprise systems.

In this role, you will go beyond traditional quality management. You will work closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and predictable delivery. You will also play a key role in driving the adoption of modern AI tools to improve team productivity and prepare the platform for future data‑driven and value‑added services.

This position offers the opportunity to influence how the overall solutions is built, delivered, and evolved. You will help teams strengthen engineering practices, improve delivery outcomes, and continuously raise the quality bar, while growing your leadership impact in a global R&D environment.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Own and drive the quality and delivery strategy for a digital solution to enable service business.

  • Establish and govern quality standards, delivery metrics, and best practices across the SDLC.

  • Ensure predictable, high‑quality deliveries while balancing speed, risk, and stability. Drive shift‑left quality, automation‑first thinking, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner closely with Product Owners on backlog readiness, acceptance criteria, and release decisions.

  • Guide teams on testable, scalable, and maintainable architectures across Azure, .NET, and React solutions. Ensure secure‑by‑design solutions and compliance with data protection and governance standards.

  • Drive adoption of AI‑assisted tools to improve quality, delivery speed, and productivity.

  • Actively promote Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business.

Your background:

  • Required bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 15–20 years of experience in software development, quality, or delivery leadership roles.

  • Strong experience with Azure‑based platforms and modern application architectures.

  • Solid understanding of .NET and React technology stacks.

  • Proven track record in quality governance and delivery management for enterprise platforms.

  • Experience working closely with Product Owners and cross‑functional teams.

  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
