Are you a quality-driven engineering professional who thrives in complex project environments? We’re looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring delivery excellence across our project lifecycle.

In this role, you’ll provide technical quality expertise, ensure compliance with codes and specifications, support construction teams, and help drive continuous improvement across the project.

About the Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for interpreting project requirements, implementing the Project Quality Plan, coordinating inspections, and monitoring subcontractor compliance. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and subcontractor teams to ensure quality standards are met and that all documentation is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

Quality & Technical Oversight

  • Establish, implement, and maintain the project conformance management system across direct works, subcontractors, and procured materials and equipment.
  • Manage the NCR process, including raising, reporting, closing out, and maintaining the NCR log.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with technical non-conformance resolutions.
  • Conduct internal project audits and follow up to close out identified issues.
  • Review subcontractor quality documentation to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Participate in inspection and testing activities as per ITPs and ensure test procedures meet relevant standards and specifications.
  • Coordinate all documentation for work packages, including Methodology Statements, ITPs, checklists, and technical reports.

Vendor & Material Quality Assurance

  • Coordinate with Engineering and Procurement to ensure adequate testing regimes for procured materials and equipment.
  • Monitor vendor and shop activities, attend inspections, and confirm completeness of Manufacturing Data Records (MDRs).
  • Maintain the tool calibration register and ensure calibrated measuring devices are available when required.
  • Verify competency and qualifications of personnel conducting inspections, including subcontractors.

Quality Reporting & Documentation

  • Ensure timely, accurate completion of quality records aligned to construction sequencing.
  • Prepare status updates and monthly reporting inputs for quality performance.
  • Maintain key project quality schedules and client notifications for critical activities.
  • Review, compile, and hand over quality records for inclusion in MDRs and completion packages.

Safety & Compliance

  • Uphold a strong safety culture and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.
  • Participate in daily pre-start meetings, report hazards and incidents, and use appropriate PPE and safety systems.
  • Contribute to safety-related reporting, tenders, and proposals.

General & Continuous Improvement

  • Complete client-required inductions and comply with all company systems and processes.
  • Monitor and refine site-specific procedures to ensure best-practice compliance.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training, development, and performance reviews.
  • Maintain a tidy, organised, and professional workspace and represent the company with professionalism at all times.

About You

You will thrive in this role if you bring:

  • Experience in quality engineering or a similar technical role on major projects.
  • Strong knowledge of ITPs, NCR management, and project quality systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with construction, engineering, procurement, and vendor teams.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems and drive continuous improvement.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on significant, high-profile projects with a supportive and experienced team.
  • Be part of a culture that values safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Opportunities for ongoing growth, learning, and development.
