Newham Deaf Support Service, has an established team of peripatetic Qualified Teachers of Deaf children and young people, and an Audiology Technician, who work with deaf children and young people from birth to 25. We work with families in the home, with settings, schools and colleges to promote effective inclusion.
This is an amazing opportunity for an ambitious, well-qualified, dynamic and outstanding teacher who is driven towards raising standards and is committed to providing a quality service, which ensures deaf/ or those who are hard of hearing are fully included in all aspects of education and family life and have the opportunity to become confident and independent learners.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with our experienced peripatetic team, holding a caseload that will span all ages and stages across the 0-25 remit.There will be opportunities also to consider what passions, experience and skill set you can bring to the team in terms of leadership or oversight for key areas within our team.
We particularly are seeking a Qualified ToD, but it is a post that could be for a dynamic teacher experienced with children with SEND and especially with those with a deafness, who may be looking to follow the formal mandatory training qualification to become qualified.

The London Borough of Newham is located only 5 miles east of London. It is well positioned with access to all major networks in London and the south east.
