Job Identification

We are looking for a Qualified Operator who will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems within the facility, through electrical/electronic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordinated support with engineering to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted production in Baghdad, Iraq.

What We Expect

• Lead and coordinate the electrical maintenance team, overseeing daily and weekly activities to ensure smooth operations and timely interventions.
• Plan and execute monthly and annual preventive maintenance programs for all electrical installations, minimizing downtime and extending equipment lifespan.
• Respond promptly to electrical and electronic malfunctions during shifts, weekends, and holidays to maintain uninterrupted production.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by applying 5S principles and ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and monitored.
• Assist operators with technical issues, respond to line foremen requests, and maintain accurate records of spare part usage and maintenance activities to support production efficiency.
• Log and report issues encountered during shifts, create and close job records in SAP, and ensure proper documentation of completed tasks.
• Supervise electrical installations during assembly/disassembly of production lines, conduct commissioning under authorized supervision, and perform necessary testing.
• Adhere to job safety protocols, utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and conduct regular safety inspections and checklist reporting.
• Sort and dispose of maintenance-related waste in accordance with solid waste processing procedures.
• Ensure cleanliness of the electrical workshop and surrounding areas, monitor cleaning supplies, and identify replenishment needs.
• Track electrical meter readings and analyze energy consumption patterns to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent related profession.
• 3 years of total experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Good in English (and local language if an expat).
• Undergraduate/above student.
• Safety and Health training.
• Quality, food safety and GMP trainings.
