Work & Training Tasmania is partnering with a reputable and growing construction business to recruit permanent staff across multiple senior and trade roles. These are direct, permanent employment opportunities with our client, with recruitment proudly managed by Work & Training.

Due to continued growth and a strong forward pipeline of local projects, the following roles are now available:

🔨 Leading Hand Carpenter

🏗️ Site Foreman

🏗️ Site Manager

All roles are based in the Launceston

About the Opportunities

Qualified Carpenter

• Residential and/or commercial building works
• Interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
• Deliver high‑quality workmanship while maintaining safety standards

What we’re looking for:

• Trade qualification in Carpentry
• Construction White Card
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Driver’s Licence

Leading Hand Carpenter

• Supervise carpentry crews on site
• Coordinate daily tasks and workflow
• Support apprentices and liaise with site supervision

What we’re looking for:

• Trade‑qualified Carpenter
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Certificate III in WHS (complete or willingness to undertake)
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Construction White Card

Site Foreman

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations
• Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and schedules
• Ensure WHS compliance, quality standards, and KPIs are met

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience as a Foreman or Supervisor
• Strong knowledge of building practices and safety requirements
• Ability to lead teams and drive project outcomes
• Trade‑qualified Carpenter
• Certificate III in WHS (complete or willingness to undertake)
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Construction White Card

Site Manager

• Oversee projects from commencement through to completion
• Manage programs, budgets, and site teams
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Foreman
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Solid understanding of construction delivery and compliance
• Trade Qualification in Carpentry
• Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Desirable)
• Construction White Card
• Valid Driver’s licence
• Certificate III in Work Health and Safety
