Qualifications Assessor Level 5

Covering Cornwall

£32,370 - £34,098 per year

35 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Qualifications Assessor based in Cornwall to join our team of 14 across England and Scotland, supporting care staff and managers to achieve their qualifications within Health and Social Care (Levels 3-5), delivering a quality RQF Assessment service in accordance with relevant internal and external standard up to and including Level 5 Diploma in Adult Social Care.

The role of Qualifications Assessor Level 5will include:

  • Delivering RQF Assessment services by operating within appropriate policies, procedures and external standards, including participating standardisation events and providing support for external verification visits up to level 5
  • Assisting with the coordination, communication and maintenance of relationships with internal and external customers, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately, escalating issues where appropriate
  • Supporting the development of quality staff by coaching and mentoring others to ensure required skilled staff available to meet awarding body requirements and business needs for delivering RQF qualifications up to and including Level 5 Diploma in Adult Social Care
  • Assisting RQF candidates in collating their portfolios for Assessment and Internal Verification, ensuring accurate records are maintained on progress and completions

Skills and experiences:

  • NVQ/QCF/RQF or equivalent in relevant discipline at Level 5
  • Vocational Assessors award (A1) TAQA or equivalent
  • Able to demonstrate maintenance of Continuous Professional Development
  • Intermediate Microsoft 365 (including use of PowerPoint)
  • Some experience working with RQF quality assurance systems
  • Professional experience in disciplines relevant to the RQF's being delivered
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role undertaking Assessments of RQF programmes
  • Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
