Tanzania Limited is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East
African Region in the countries of Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and South
Sudan.


On behalf of our Tanzania based
client, we are looking for a competent and experienced
Warehouse Trainee.


POSITION IN THE COMPANY


The
position is a local short-term assignment responsible for all activities
involved in receiving, issuing and maintenance in good condition for all
materials Leaf,NTM, Spare Parts and Finished Goods. Proper record and data
management of all materials for both physical and system. Ensuring on time
material availability for production and on time loading to customers. Coordinate
with relevant stakeholders to avoid out-of-stock situations. High degree of
proper warehouse keeping in terms of cleanness and 5S3R. Fully take charge of
infestation control activities in all warehouses through various treatment methods.
Fully take reasonable care of the health and safety of yourself and of others
who may be affected by your acts and cooperate with the employer on health and safety
avoid how to prevent injuries.


Contract Duration: 6 Months


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. Coordinate the
    transfer of finished goods from Production to the FG warehouse and oversee
    warehouse loading activities for finished goods distributed to domestic and
    export markets.


I.

Ensure accurate
record keeping and archiving of all inbound and outbound transactions. Monitor
FG inventory daily and report updates to relevant stakeholders for action.


II.

Ensure compliance
with MUB warehousing requirements.


III.

Maintain accurate,
up-to-date physical and system records of finished goods available in the
warehouse.


2.

Ensure proper receipt
of materials and ensure accurate record keeping and archiving for all
transactions of inbound and outbound material movement.


I.

Ensure Good receipt
is done on time and both physical and systems records should match. Daily
analysis of production orders and establish correct materials and optimal quantities
to be requested from the warehouse.


II.

Review production
planning board and follow up of order/Bill of materials requisition and analyse
and optimize order requirements based on SAP, physical stock in the warehouse
and shop floor and on time staging of
materials to shop floor based on respective work center.


III.

Coordinate material
return from shop floor to the warehouse (whether good or MRB) in accordance to
company policy and procedure.


IV.

Ensure compliance of
MUB operation in warehousing


3.

Receive and issue spare
parts as required.


I.

Maintain physical and
systems inventory and keep records of all spare parts transactions both inbound
and outbound.


4.

Ensure proper leaf
receipt procedures both physical and in SAP are adhered.


I.

Maintain accurate
system and physical movement of leaf from warehouse to production and
reconciliation of stock balance. Support the business by ensuring on time leaf
transfer to production.


II.

Ensure compliance of
MUB operation in warehousing.


III.

Maintain accurate and
up to date records of tobacco stocks and tobacco grades available in the
warehouse


5.
Warehouse keeping & Materials handling: Ensure warehouses are properly
managed:


ü

All
warehouses are clean and sustain 5S3R


ü

Space
Optimization


ü

Support
EHS and contamination prevention


ü

Leaf
/ FG stack management to avoid falling stacks and proper rack


ü

All
actions from Warehouse Tour and Beetle Tour Team are actioned and closed


ü

Warehouse
access is managed and always aware who is accessing the warehouse, and they are
in proper safety gears


6.
Actively demonstrate commitment to health and safety, take immediate steps to
correct unsafe workplace conditions or behaviors.


I
.

Participate in
health and safety training and receive appropriate health and safety knowledge
and required qualifications, observe and follow safety signs, posters, warning
signals, and written directions and instructions.

II.

To actively
participate and perform special tasks associated with organized improvement
activities.


7.
Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and as given by line Manager


Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


Education

Bachelor’s
degree preferably degree in logistics or warehousing or any other related field


Computer Skills:

Basic
computer knowledge


Work Experience:


·

Fresh
graduate


ADDED ADVANTAGE


Language
Skills:


·

Fluent
in English language


·

Field
practical training experience in a manufacturing environment
