About this job: Q-Sourcing Tanzania Limited is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and South Sudan. On behalf of our Tanzania based client, we are looking for a competent and experienced Mechanical Technician. POSITION IN THE COMPANY Position Label : Mechanical Technician . KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Main Areas of Responsibility: Inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, filling and packaging machines, pipework, valves, compressors, and other plant machinery. Perform planned preventive maintenance, equipment alignment, lubrication, fitting, and replacement of worn components. Respond quickly to breakdowns, identify root causes, and recommend measures to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Maintain workshop tools and maintenance records while complying with plant safety, hygiene, and quality procedures Requirements MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Education Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Work Experience: Four years of relevant experience in a busy manufacturing environment.
