On behalf of our Tanzania based
client, we are looking for a competent and experienced
Conservation Trust Fund Advisor
MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS
The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is a major regional
infrastructure project (Capex: 4.1 G$, OPEX:>2.5 G$ over 25 years) between
Uganda and Tanzania coast, opening a new value corridor between the two
countries.
The project anticipates the
mobilization of ~8,000 to 10,000 personnel across the various construction sites.
This role functions as specialist advisor and support for the EACOP biodiversity
team.
The Conservation Trust Fund Advisor (CTFA) will provide support to
the Conservation Trust Funds (CTF), Uganda Biodiversity Fund and Tanzania
Environmental Sustainability Trust (Chakwetu), through which EACOP is
implementing its biodiversity offset commitments. The CTFA will assist the the
CTFs with the structuring and documentation of the proposals for biodiversity
offsets that are requested for implementation by EACOP. The proposals will have
to align with the funding agreement signed by the CTFs and EACOP and will
ensure that the structure for the delivery of the offsets meets EACOP
requirements and are compliant with lender requirements (IFC PS6 specifically).
