we are looking for a competent, skilled and experienced
Field Technician Mechanic
to work in
Uganda.

Job Purpose:
This position exists within the operations department and the field technician’s sole purpose is to service and do repairs on the plant machinery and both the light and heavy Goods vehicles.

Reports to:
Asset Integrity Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities
:

• 
  Ensure smooth flow of all field operations and seamless service delivery to the clients.
• 
  Be a key communication vocal point between the field and the main office.
• 
  Inspects and services convoy vehicles, trucks, and other equipment
• 
  Changes and repairs tires and responds to road service calls
• 
  Assists in ordering and obtaining necessary parts and supplies
• 
  Keeps track of the service parts and the spare parts and is held accountable for all.
• 
  In charge of ensuring the re-order levels are maintained such that no parts are missing at site when required.
• 
  Provides assistance to other crews during the rig moves as and when needed (troubleshooting of machinery)
•

  Responds to emergencies as requested
• 
  Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
• 
  Responsible for own and other employees' health and safety at the workplace

Requirements

Qualifications, skills & Experience:

• 
  Diploma in mechanical engineering.
• 
  Certification in computer packages i.e. Ms Word, excel, power point.
• 
  Valid driver’s license
• 
  Minimum 5 years’ experience in repairs and maintenance of personal vehicles, heavy commercial vehicles, forklifts and cranes.

Skills and Knowledge:

• 
  Competent mechanical knowledge
• 
  Effective verbal and written communication skills
• 
  Good working knowledge in operation and maintenance of pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics and power transmission systems
• 
  Ability to prepare & write routine progress reports on maintenance tasks including ensuring 100% availability of jobs data & process documents
• 
  Familiar with ISO standards of safety, as well as OGP lifesaving rules.

Zero machinery and vehicle downtime statistics

100% compliance of machinery in terms of service times

Weekly timely submission of reports that are 100% accuracy entailing the status of equipment’s at site

99% plant machine integrity and HGV and LGV’s

·
Zero incident reporting while working

·
100% stock level maintenance (Never go below the Re-order level at any given time) (Accountability)
