About this Job: Q-Sourcing Sevtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan. Q-Sourcing Limited Uganda is seeking a motivated and competent Graduate Trainee to join our team at the Kampala head office. Job Title : Recruitment Trainee Reports To : Client Relation Manager- Recruitment JOB PURPOSE: • The Recruitment Trainee will be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of assigned recruitment assignments. S/He will also support background checks processes for both manpower and commercial projects recruitments, reporting, and onboarding of successful candidates. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintain good working relationships with client representatives. • Post job descriptions on all relevant platforms and coordinate with social media team to ensure all jobs are boosted on social media. • Utilize all available recruiting sources to find quality candidates and prospects as per the client need. • Screen resumes and CVs and manage job candidates throughout hiring process, from interview preparation to vetting and onboarding. • Maintain database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and top 3 recommended candidates. • Plan for candidate interviews by managing candidates and establishing the venue for interviews as well as scheduling for interviews (preparation of interview materials i.e. sign-in sheets, pre-interview forms, answer sheets & approved competency-based questions). • Coordinate pre-employment background checks for selected candidates. • Act as a point of contact and build positive candidate relationships during the selection process. • Update recruitment activity progress reports weekly. • Maintain QSL/WQS professional brand and reputation as a recruiter and employer of choice. • Any other duties that might be assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time. Requirements Mandatory requirements: • Bachelor’s degree (completed within the last two years) in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Statistics, Industrial and Organizational Psychology or a related field . EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Experience • 0–1 year of work experience; internship or volunteer experience in HR, administration or customer service is an added advantage. Skills and attributes • Good planning, organization & teamwork skills with the ability to work well with others. • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn HR systems. • Attention to detail and good observation. • Good problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn. • Person of high integrity, able to handle confidential information. • Ability to work under pressure and flexibly at client sites. • Basic understanding of the Uganda labour laws, or willingness to learn.
