Job
purpose
:
The
Food & Beverage Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the
successful operation and strategic direction of all food and beverage outlets.
This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving revenue
and profitability, and maintaining exceptional se rvice standards across the
restaurant, bar, and event spaces. The Manager ensures that all activities
align with company policies, health and safety regulations, and guest
expectations. By leading, developing, and motivating the team, managing
resources efficiently, and continuously improving service delivery, the F&B
Manager contributes to creating outstanding guest experiences, enhancing brand
reputation, and achieving business success.
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
& Management team
·
Lead
and manage the F&B team, including Assistant Manager, Supervisors, and
service staff, ensuring high performance and accountability.
·
Provide
direction, coaching, and mentorship to develop leadership capabilities within
the team.
·
Ensure
all team members adhere to company policies, procedures, and grooming
standards.
·
Foster a positive work
environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and service excellence.
Operational
Management
·
Oversee
daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and conference/event halls to ensure
smooth and efficient service.
·
Ensure
proper staffing levels and resource allocation across all outlets.
·
Establish
and maintain SOPs to achieve consistent service standards
·
Coordinate
with kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
·
Monitor
opening and closing procedures across all outlets
Customer
Service Excellence
·
Ensure
delivery of exceptional, 5-star guest service across all F&B outlets.
·
Handle
and resolve escalated guest complaints professionally and promptly.
·
Engage
with guests to gather feedback and enhance satisfaction.
·
Monitor
service quality, food presentation, and overall guest experience.
·
Implement
improvements based on guest feedback and service evaluations.
Financial
Management
·
Prepare
and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the F&B department.
·
Monitor
revenue, costs, and profitability, ensuring targets are achieved.
·
Control
food, beverage, and labor costs without compromising quality.
·
Analyze
financial reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
·
Drive
revenue through promotions, upselling, and innovative offerings.
Events
& Banqueting Management
·
Oversee
planning and execution of conferences, banquets, and special events.
·
Coordinate
with Sales and Events teams to deliver customized F&B solutions.
·
Ensure
all events are executed to a high standard from setup to completion.
·
Maximize
revenue opportunities through effective event planning and upselling
Staff
Training & Development
·
Develop
and implement training programs to enhance team skills and service standards.
·
Support
onboarding and continuous development of all F&B staff.
·
Conduct
regular meetings to review performance and set improvement goals.
·
Identify
high-potential employees and support career development.
Performance
Monitoring
·
Monitor
departmental and individual performance against set targets and standards.
·
Conduct
performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
·
Address
performance issues and implement corrective actions.
Health,
Safety, and Compliance
·
Ensure
compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
·
Conduct
regular inspections of all F&B areas.
·
Ensure
cleanliness and safety standards are consistently maintained.
·
Address
and resolve any safety risks or compliance issues promptly.
Communication
& Coordination
·
Maintain
effective communication with management, kitchen, and other departments.
·
Ensure
teams are informed of menu updates, promotions, and operational changes.
·
Conduct
regular departmental meetings to align goals and performance.
·
Foster
collaboration across all hotel departments.
Administrative
Duties
·
Oversee
staff scheduling to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
·
Manage
inventory, procurement, and supplier relationships.
·
Monitor
stock levels and minimize waste.
·
Prepare
reports on financial performance, operations, and team productivity.
·
Support
senior management with strategic planning and reporting.
REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS
·
Bachelor’s
degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
·
Minimum
5–8 years of experience in food and beverage operations, with at least 2–3
years in a managerial role.
·
Strong
leadership and team management skills.
·
Excellent
communication and interpersonal abilities.
·
Proven
experience in financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
·
Strong
understanding of food safety, hygiene, and service standards.
·
Ability
to manage multiple outlets and functions simultaneously.
·
Flexibility
to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
DESIRABLE
SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES.

Experience
in a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment.
·
Strong
organizational and problem-solving abilities.
·
Knowledge
of POS systems and inventory management tools.
·
Experience
in event and banqueting operations.
·
Beverage,
wine, or bar management knowledge.
