The Senior Accountant will oversee the hospital's financial
operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The
ideal candidate is a certified finance professional with strong analytical
skills and healthcare sector experience.

•
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts
payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

•
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual
financial statements and reports.

•
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes in
collaboration with department heads.

•
Ensure compliance with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) tax
obligations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax.

•
Manage internal and external audit processes and implement audit
recommendations.

•
Maintain proper financial controls and safeguard hospital
assets.

•
Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and investment activities.

•
Prepare payroll and ensure timely and accurate salary
disbursement.

•
Supervise junior accounting staff and provide technical
guidance.

•
Liaise with banks, auditors, regulatory authorities, and other
stakeholders.

Requirements

•
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

•
Must hold a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA
(Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification.

•
Minimum of 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience,
preferably in a hospital or large organisation.

•
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Uganda tax regulations.

•
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or
similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.

•
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and
reporting skills.

•
Demonstrated leadership ability and capacity to manage a finance
team.
