The Fleet
Manager is responsible for the effective management, monitoring, and
optimization of Skol Brewery Ltd.'s fleet operations. The role ensures fleet
availability, safety, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and operational
excellence to support business objectives.
Qualifications
and Experience
Candidates
should meet one of the following requirements:
·
Bachelor's
degree in Automobile Mechanics or a related field, with at least 2 years of
experience in fleet management; or
·
Bachelor’s
degree in management or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in
fleet management; or
·
Vocational
training in Automobile Mechanics, combined with a minimum of 5 years of
practical fleet management experience.
Additional requirements:
·
Proficiency in
ERP systems (Sage X3 or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite,
particularly Excel.
·
Experience in
fleet management within the FMCG sector or a related industry.
·
Proven
experience in developing and implementing fleet policies and procedures,
including vehicle allocation, replacement, personal use management, accident
reporting, and compliance processes.
·
Experience in
budgeting, cost control, and supplier negotiations.

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for:

Developing and
implementing strategies to improve fuel efficiency and optimize fleet
performance.
·
Planning,
coordinating, and executing vehicle acquisition, replacement, and disposal
processes.
·
Managing
vehicle registration, insurance, licensing, and all related documentation.
·
Overseeing
preventive, corrective, and emergency vehicle maintenance activities.
·
Maintaining
accurate records of vehicle inspections, servicing, repairs, and operational
performance.
·
Developing and
enforcing fleet operational standards and best practices.
·
Ensuring
compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, safety standards, and company
policies.
·
Monitoring
fleet utilization and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and
operational improvement.
·
Managing
fleet-related budgets and controlling operating costs.
·
Coordinating
with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure efficient
fleet operations.
