BUILDING QA/QC ENGINEER

operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya,
Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of
our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Building
QA/QC Engineer to work in Kenya.

Job Purpose

To ensure all
building works comply with approved specifications, contract requirements,
applicable standards, quality management systems, and health, safety and
environmental requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key
Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance
& Control Planning

·
Develop and implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Plans.

·
Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and
quality records.

·
Coordinate laboratory and field testing of construction
materials.

2. Inspections
& Compliance

·
Inspect building materials and workmanship to ensure compliance
with approved drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities.

·
Conduct routine site inspections and quality audits.

·
Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and monitor corrective and
preventive actions until close-out.

·
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, EBK, NCA,
OSHA, NEMA, and other statutory requirements.

3.
Documentation & Reporting

·
Verify contractor quality documentation before approvals and
payment certifications.

·
Prepare quality reports, inspection registers, and project
handover documentation.

·
Support snagging, commissioning, and defect liability
inspections.

4. Stakeholder
Coordination

·
Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory
authorities on quality matters.

Requirements

Education

·
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Building Engineering.

·
Registered Graduate/Professional Engineer with EBK.

·
NCA registration is an advantage.

Experience

·
Minimum of
5 years' experience
in QA/QC for
building construction projects.

·
Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems is an added
advantage.

·
Knowledge of FIDIC contracts is an added advantage.

Technical
Skills

·
Knowledge of quality inspection and testing procedures.

·
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Project.
