Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the client in overseeing Quantity Survey related works on projects assigned both locally and in Singapore.

  • Maintain cost data base for both Philippine market and Singapore market.

  • Coordinate communication between project team members, contractors and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.

  • Facilitate progress meetings with contractors and manage progress claims to the client on weekly and monthly basis.

  • Document and follow-up on important actions and decisions from meetings.

  • Determine and highlight any project changes. Evaluate the potential contractual risks due to the changes and prepare contingency plans to minimise the risks.

  • Monitor project progress, identify contractual claim related issues, risks, or delays, and propose adjustments to schedules or strategies as necessary.

  • Provide regular updates and detailed reports on project status, developments, and outcomes.

  • Review weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes.

  • Undertake project tasks assigned by Project Manager, when required.

  • Manage team of QS personnel to produce high quality and timely deliverables.

  • Report to local Manager in Philippines and overall QS unit head in Singapore

  • Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies.

  • Perform risk, value management, and cost control.

  • Advise on procurement strategies and contractual matters.

  • Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks

  • Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.

  • Allocate work to subcontractors and manage subcontractor accounts.

  • Monitor and report on project progress and prepare valuations and final accounts.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and quality standards throughout the project.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior surveyors and other team members.

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineer / Quantity Survey or related field of study.

  • Proven experience in construction project management or a similar role.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.

  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.

  • Willing to accept Project-base status

  • Willing to be stationed in Manila throughout the assignment.
