Job Description

Purpose of the Role

The QHSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems. The role ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and standards while promoting a culture of continuous improvement, risk prevention, and operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Quality

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and company standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits and certifications.
  • Ensure non-conformities are identified, recorded, and resolved effectively through corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives across departments.

Health & Safety

  • Providing the support to plant management in H&S matters
  • Ensuring plant’s compliance with legal requirements and Group’s requirements related to H&S
  • Managing of all regular reporting for the Group and local authorities
  • Planning training actions together with Operations
  • Supporting in the investigation of any incident
  • Following up of all H&S related actions

Expected results by the end of the year 2026

  • Action plan to reach compliance in all FPS defined, approved and followed up
  • FPS L3 (minimum required compliance with the Group’s Fatality Prevention Standards) reached in all FPS
  • HIRA and Work Instructions updated for all routine activities
  • Targets for preventive safety audits met
  • Targets for safety incidents reporting (unsafe acts and unsafe situations) met
  • Targets for proactive SO/PSIF met
  • Action plan for equipment conformity certification defined, approved and followed up
  • All incidents recorded, reported and investigated as required according to the applicable procedure

Environment

  • Develop and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with ISO 14001.
  • Monitor environmental performance, waste management, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and corporate sustainability goals.

General / Cross-functional

  • Prepare and present QHSE performance reports and KPIs to management.
  • Act as the main point of contact for QHSE matters with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Foster a proactive QHSE culture across all levels of the organization.
  • Support tendering and project execution with QHSE documentation and expertise.

Key Requirements

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Management, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ISO 9001/14001/45001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, or equivalent are an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a QHSE-related role, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or industrial services.
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining integrated management systems.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication in French and in English, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive a culture of safety and quality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and QHSE management software tools.
