Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) strategy for the organization. This role supports compliance with US federal, state, and local regulations, ISO standards, and company policies, while fostering a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, wellbeing, and continuous improvement across all operational areas. This role works as part of a global QHSE team, supporting alignment of standards, processes, and best practices across geographies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Specific duties and responsibilities shall include the following:

IMS / QMS System Management

  • Own and manage the company's Integrated Management System (IMS/QMS), driving its development and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as management representative for quality assurance across the organization.
  • Maintain and update documentation for ISO certifications, and lead the ISO audit program, including scheduling, execution, and closeout of internal and external audits.
  • Lead the bids/tender team's QHSE questionnaires and client audits.
  • Contribute QHSE input to bids, tenders, and pre-qualification submissions, ensuring compliance requirements are accurately represented.
  • Set and monitor compliance standards for quality procedures across all sites and projects.

Health and Safety Leadership

  • Act as the senior point of contact for employees and managers on all HSE matters, providing guidance, support, and direction.
  • Direct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to identify risks and drive corrective action.
  • Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and oversee corrective/preventative action programs.
  • Own safety procedures, fire management records, and first-aid readiness across the business.
  • Build and lead safety culture initiatives, induction and refresher training, and behavior-based safety programs.
  • Own office site safety.

Environmental and Corporate Compliance

  • Own environmental performance monitoring, including energy usage, emissions, and waste management.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain ISO 14001:2015 standards.
  • Lead environmental initiatives and sustainability programs, promoting best practices across the business.
  • Own environmental and corporate compliance reporting to leadership, including regulatory filings and management review reporting.

ISNet and DOT Program Management

  • Own and manage the company's ISNet account, ensuring all required documentation, certifications, and client-specific compliance items stay current.
  • Own and manage the company's DOT compliance program, including driver qualification files, hours of service records, and vehicle inspection documentation.

Client and Customer Engagement

  • Act as a key QHSE point of contact for customers and clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Support client audits, site visits, and queries, representing the company's QHSE standards and performance.

Wellbeing and Training

  • Direct QHSE training programs for staff; own safety training portals and completion tracking.
  • Advise leadership on ergonomics, mental workload, and overall employee well-being.
  • Plan and lead awareness campaigns.

Reporting and Administration

  • Own monthly dashboards, KPIs, and QHSE performance reporting to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records of accidents, incidents, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Provide leadership with analysis and trending to identify areas for improvement.
  • Own supplier and contractor compliance management, including certifications and ISNet requirements.
  • Ensure QHSE policies, procedural changes, updates, and certifications are effectively communicated and implemented company-wide.
  • Chair safety, quality, and environmental meetings and committees.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

Essential:

  • Proven experience managing a QHSE function, including ownership of an IMS/QMS and ISO audit program.
  • Direct experience managing an ISNet account and a DOT compliance program.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, data management, and reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.

Preferred Experience:

  • ISO Lead Auditor certification (9001/14001/45001).
