QHSE Specialist - Gladstone, Queensland

As our Australian operations continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate, proactive and energetic QHSE Specialist to join our Gladstone team.

This is not a traditional compliance role. We are looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, engaging with people, solving problems and driving positive change. Working closely with operational leaders, project teams and the QHSE Manager - APAC, you will help strengthen safety culture, support our workforce and contribute to the success of our projects and operations.

About the Role

You will:

• Provide practical QHSE support and advice across projects and operations.
• Build strong working relationships with leaders and frontline personnel.
• Promote workforce engagement and proactive risk management.
• Support audits, inspections, investigations and assurance activities.
• Assist with injury management and workers' compensation processes.
• Contribute to the development and continual improvement of QHSE systems and programs.
• Coach and influence teams to achieve positive QHSE outcomes.
• Support the implementation of APAC QHSE initiatives and strategies.

Essential Requirements

• Certificate IV in WHS/HSE (or equivalent).
• Sound understanding of QHSE legislation, standards and requirements.
• Knowledge of ISO and relevant Australian Standards.
• Practical experience in injury management and workers' compensation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively across operational and corporate environments.
• Willingness to travel within Queensland as required.

Desirable

• Experience within energy, resources, industrial or infrastructure sectors.
• Exposure to high-risk operational environments.
• Experience supporting assurance, auditing and continuous improvement activities.
