We are currently seeking a QC Validation Lead to join our QC Laboratory team. This position reports directly to the QC Manager and is based in Ampang, Selangor

The QC Validation Lead will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing all validation activities within the Quality Control department. The role ensures that laboratory operations, analytical methods, equipment, computerized systems, and supporting processes consistently perform as intended and remain compliant with applicable regulatory requirements, including GMP, PIC/S, FDA, EMA, and ISO standards

As the department’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for validation, the incumbent will provide assurance that all data generated by the QC laboratory is accurate, reliable, traceable, and suitable for making product quality decisions.

In addition, the QC Validation Lead will serve as the Analytical Project Lead for product development and continuous improvement initiatives. The role provides technical leadership in analytical method development, validation, verification, and transfer activities, ensuring analytical methods are scientifically robust, regulatory compliant, and capable of supporting product development, registration, commercialization, and lifecycle management objectives.

A Day in the Life

With your valuable experience and expertise, you will:

• Lead the development, execution, and documentation of Analytical Method Validation (AMV) protocols and reports, ensuring analytical methods are accurate, precise, reliable, and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements. This includes methods used for the testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability studies.
• Conduct cleaning validation analytical testing, periodic validation reviews, and laboratory equipment qualification activities to support the introduction and ongoing maintenance of laboratory systems and instruments.
• Ensure the effective implementation, maintenance, and compliance of Computerized System Validation (CSV) requirements within the QC laboratory environment.
• Support analytical method transfer activities and perform pharmacopoeial updates, gap assessments, and impact evaluations to ensure testing methods remain aligned with current regulatory and compendial standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to validation, laboratory compliance, data integrity, and analytical excellence.

Knowledge and Expertise That Matter Most for This Role:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Quality Control validation activities, including analytical method validation, cleaning validation, equipment qualification, and computerized system validation.
• Proven ability to independently develop and execute analytical method validation strategies while leading validation activities in accordance with regulatory requirements, including GMP, PIC/S, FDA, EMA, and ISO standards.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to guide, coach, and develop team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Practical experience with the Waters Empower chromatography data system, including configuration and management of custom fields and system administration activities.
• Solid experience working in a pharmaceutical Quality Control laboratory environment, with a strong understanding of laboratory operations, compliance expectations, and data integrity principles.
