Based at our Gauteng branch , in oder to further strengthen our Quality team, we are currently seeking a:

QC TECHNOLOGIST – ( Johannesburg, South Africa)

Reporting directly to the QC Manager, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for:

• Ensure quality, food safety and aesthetics of the product.
• Follow through on set processes and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and product quality standards.

III. – KEY TASKS

• Responsible for monitoring and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Responsible for monitoring critical control points (CCP).
• Responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.
• Responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.
• Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and Documentation.
• Perform QC analysis on raw material, in process and finished goods
• Participate in internal audits, GMP audits, process verification audits
• Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
• Ensures and educates employees on food safety and SQF standards.
• Responsible to issue disciplinary action when directed.
• Maintain lab retention sample
• Maintain sampling plan for all products.
• Perform inspections on Products, Equipment and Machinery.

IV. – JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Matric and Degree or a National Diploma in Food Technology or relevant qualification
• At least 1 – 2 years’ proven experience in QC - food manufacturing environment
• Proven analytical strengths and experience
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Creative, innovative, and service-oriented with a collaborative mindset
• Good communication skills - English is a prerequisite - ability to read and write; additional language(s) an advantage.
• Written comprehension – the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Good personality, hardworking, teamwork, service orientated, creative, innovative, trustworthy, open to learn from feedback.
