The Quality Control Microbiology group is seeking a highly motivated candidate to be part of the facility utility and raw material testing group. This candidate will be responsible for performing bioburden and endotoxin testing on water samples and raw material samples, and occasionally process samples. This role also involves total organic carbon (TOC) testing, conductivity, and EM/water/clean steam sample collection. This individual will also be responsible for data review, reconciliation, SOP revision, document authoring, and other business value added work as needed.
What You Will Achieve
Perform bioburden, endotoxin, conductivity and TOC assays
Collect EM/water samples (monitoring) and associated testing,
Ensure all aspects of testing are performed per GMP and SOPs
Review of GMP data, reports, procedures.
Author reports and/or SOP revisions as needed.
Attend QCM at meetings and huddles
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
BA/BS in a science field (i.e. biology, microbiology) with any years of experience
GMP experience
Knowledge and practical application of relevant techniques – classic microbiology techniques as well as rapid microbial techniques, desired.
Knowledge of GMP compliance requirements for Quality Control Laboratories
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
Experience with LWLIMS, eQMS and PDOCs is a plus.
A deep understanding of Microbiology testing and experience in defending laboratory practices during regulatory audits
Proficiency in both viable and non-viable environmental monitoring within pharmaceutical manufacturing
Solid grasp of aseptic techniques
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $60 200,00 to $100 400,00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7,5% of the base salary.
