This QC Microbiologist Analyst role in Dublin focuses on microbiological testing and environmental monitoring to support clinical and commercial manufacturing. The position involves working in a cGMP QC laboratory, operating microbiology equipment, following written SOPs, recording data in real time, and maintaining strong attention to detail. Routine tasks are carried out with minimal supervision while contributing to reliable product release and sterility assurance for patients with serious and rare conditions.
Carry out environmental and facilities monitoring sampling and testing, ensuring accurate, timely collection and analysis of data.
Perform microbiological testing to support release and stability programs on site, using appropriate Micro techniques.
Maintain high cGMP and GLP standards during all testing activities, meeting schedules and targets to satisfy regulatory and business requirements.
Ensure a high standard of housekeeping and safety in the laboratory, promoting safe working practices at all times.
Complete project work and implement initiatives that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the laboratory function.
Keep management informed of issues arising within the laboratory, escalating risks and proposing solutions.
Investigate out-of-specification or out-of-limit results using Structured Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis tools, working with the Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor, QA and other relevant departments to define and implement effective corrective and preventative actions within agreed timelines.
Train laboratory personnel in relevant microbiology methods, procedures and standards, contributing to the design, delivery and evaluation of training and re-training programs.
