Join our Quality team at our Newhouse site as a QC Materials Technician, on a 12 month fixed term contract.
We are looking for a QC Materials Technician to join the Quality Operations team at Sartorius Stedim BioOutsource. In this role, you will be responsible for release of raw materials, managing shipments of test materials and finished products from our site to customer sites and providing general housekeeping support to the QC laboratory.
You will join a small close knit team of 2 people and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.
This position is available full time on a 12 month fixed term contract, based at our Newhouse site near Motherwell.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
On a daily basis you will be inspecting and releasing raw materials as per defined materials specifications and procedures
You will maintain raw materials retention samples as per Retain Management procedures
Arrange and schedule temperature-controlled shipments to the relevant teams internally for testing or to client sites. Prepare customs and Quality documentation for shipments.
You will use your attention to detail to correctly label released materials
You will review and prepare documentation such as Material Specifications (MS) based on information received from the manufacturing team and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Do you enjoy collaborating? You will work closely with other departments such as Stores, Quality and Manufacturing to respond to and resolve deviations and incidents
In addition, you will provide support to the QC laboratory with routine duties such as cleaning and stock management
You will follow health and safety policies, SOPs and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) at all times
Follow through on corrective and preventative actions from deviations and audit observations
What will convince us
Some experience with stock management, stores or providing laboratory support would be ideal
Strong attention to detail and methodical way of working
Good communication and written skills and the ability to interact with other departments
Excellent skills in Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel
Good organisational skills with the ability to multi – task, prioritise and manage own workload
Ability to work in a small team where communication is key
Higher Grades in English or equivalent qualifications
