The Director of Quality Control will develop, implement, and periodically evaluate a program to ensure the organization’s production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization. Develop a strategic plan and QA program to improve quality. Salary ranges $120,000 - $130,000 depending on experience. Position comes with benefits that start on the 1st of the month after 30 days of hire. Core Duties & Responsibilities:
· Evaluates production operations from a strategic level to ensure that products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specifications and requirements.
· Collaborates with management and senior staff across production departments and roles to draft acceptable quality standards.
· Develop and implement quality standard testing and evaluation processes.
· Develop, implement, maintain all facilities QMS, including policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with ASME and NBIC certifications, and other relevant standards for valve production.
· Facilitates communication among production divisions and management.
· Monitor production processes to identify defects, non-conformances, and root causes: apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement.
· Assesses test results and approves recommended changes.
· Reviews quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
· Lead Internal and external audits, including supplier audits, to assess compliance with quality standard and regulatory requirements; prepare corrective action plans and follow up on implementation.
· Periodically reports the status of quality control and operations to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.
· Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
· Supervising and providing guidance to all quality control personnel across all divisions and departments.
· Qualifications & Requirements:
· A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related industrial, scientific, or business field is desired.
· Eight to 10 years of related experience desired.
· Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
· Six Sigma, Lean, Root cause analysis experience preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
· Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
· Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Preferred Experience & Aptitude:
· At least five years as a quality engineer or similar role highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
