1. Performs complete layout inspection by measuring dimensions, such as length, height, and distance, between reference points, using precision instruments such as micrometres, callipers, dial indicator, and CMM, to ensure product meets specifications.
2. Able to locate reference point(s) on part and measure dimension such as angle, arc, and radii, using combinations of aids.
3. Measure products dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.
4. Reports quality problems or findings to Quality Control Manager and follows up to ensure that corrective action has/will take place.
5. Inspect 100% incoming parts or raw materials
6. Manage & control incoming parts inspection
7. Maintains record of inspections and prepares list of defects, interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specification and to facilitate the acceptance of parts.
8. Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
9. Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
10. Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications
1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronics/Tools & Die Engineering or 2 years relevant working experience, preferably in related industry.
2. Able to read or interpret technical drawing – 2D & 3D.
3. Basic mathematics
4. Understand technical requirement – material, tolerance, finishing & secondary process.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Preferably able to communicate in English, Added advantage if proficient in Japanese Language written and spoken
