Job Description

On behalf of our client, DEKRA is looking for:

• QA/QC & R&D Manager/Director

Quality Assurance & Quality Control Leadership

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS);
• Ensure full compliance with national and international food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, IFS, BRC or relevant standards);
• Oversee quality control processes in production, raw materials, packaging, and finished goods;
• Establish and monitor KPIs related to quality performance, complaints, and non-conformities;
• Lead internal and external audits and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA);
• Ensure regulatory compliance with food safety laws and labeling requirements;
• Manage risk assessment and quality-related crisis situations.

Research & Development (R&D)

• Lead new product development initiatives from concept to commercialization;
• Improve existing products through reformulation, cost optimization, and quality enhancement;
• Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Sales, and Marketing on product innovation and launches;
• Monitor global trends, ingredients, technologies, and consumer preferences in the food industry;
• Ensure product documentation, specifications, and technical data sheets are properly maintained;
• Oversee pilot trials, industrial testing, and validation processes.

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead, mentor, and develop QA/QC and R&D teams;
• Define departmental strategy aligned with company objectives;
• Manage departmental budgets and resource planning;
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation;
• Report directly to executive management and provide analytical insights using data-driven approaches.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage);
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a senior QA/QC and/or R&D leadership role, preferably within the food industry;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting, performance tracking);
• Fluency in English (written and spoken);
• Proven experience managing teams and cross-functional collaboration;
• Experience in product development and industrial production processes;
• Experience with international certifications and export markets;
• Experience in managing audits from regulatory authorities and certification bodies;
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and quality management systems;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills;
• Strategic mindset with strong commercial awareness.
